About Chouqduff
A Story of Journey, Craft and Devotion
It began simply; two women, two homes, and a shared longing for beauty that carried meaning.
What started as friendship became a journey: across markets and mountains, between memory and making. We searched for pieces that bore the trace of human hands, for objects that spoke in the quiet language of touch, patience and faith.
Out of that search came Chouqduff: a home for crafted stories that travel. Named for the Meccan rendering of the howdah (camel carriage) that once crossed the Peninsula toward Makkah, Chouqduff is shaped by motion and memory: each piece, whether worn or placed, carries something of the caravan, the movement between worlds, the dialog between art and devotion, and the remembrance that every handmade thing holds a prayer within its form.
We believe that craft is a kind of worship.
We believe that the hand remembers what the heart cannot always say. The things we make and gather are not merely objects, but vessels of continuity; the wood that has known a craftsmen’s chisel, the thread that once crossed a desert, the fabric that carries the scent of supplication. We believe in honoring the stories behind the pieces that fill our lives; the design patterns that have passed through generations.
